Hello there!
We are very happy to announce that our fourth album “Understanding Gravity” will be released on April 1, 2016 on Wild Kingdom/Sound Pollution. The album will be preceded by the first single “Earth’s Gonna Shake” that will come out on the 22’nd of January, together with a video for the song.

We have always wanted to do everything for ourselves so far, releasing all albums on our own label Killed By Records and so on. And Sound Pollution have always been our steady distributor, but now we feel like we wanted to get away even more from the business side of things. We just want to make great music and be on the road. Wild Kingdom feels like the perfect choice for us. We know that they like what we do, and that they will let us do it our way, without interfering in our creative process.

Johan Haller at Wild Kingdom adds:
-After having followed the band throughout their entire history we finally had the chance to work even closer together. We have seen them building up their status as a band from unknown to a very highly respected band in their genre. Hellsingland Underground is without a doubt one of the best hidden jewels from Sweden and we are now able to sharpen this shiny diamond to a wider audience worldwide.

The album will be followed by a long European tour, starting on the release day (1st of April) in Denmark.

This band can sometimes feel like an old rusty locomotive. It has all kinds of levers, ball-bearings, gadgets and gauges that you have to maintain and oil and treat very gently until being warmed up. But once it’s up and going, it just keeps on accelerating, going faster and faster to the point where it’s hard to stop, no matter how hard you push the breaks. We are now out of the maintenance period and have just started to accelerate. Things are happening fast. A lot of things. Good things! We will of course tell you about all of this in a little while, but some stuff we’re just not allowed to talk about yet.

The most important thing right now is that we think we have made the best album in the bands history.

“Understanding Gravity” will be released on vinyl with gatefold cover, cd and all digital formats. We will give you an exact release date as soon as we have it. Here is the album cover and complete track list:

A little update (the short version): We are slowly getting there with the mixes. We will probably have the album mixed, mastered and ready in 2 weeks from now. The initial plan, as you all know, was to have the album out in late october. That ain’t gonna happen.

Due to 2 months (at the most) for the vinyl printing (with Evil Will Prevail in 2012 it was only 2 weeks, meaning that EVERYBODY is doing vinyl these days, which is a good thing!) + 2 months for our promotion team to work on it in advance of the release. So even if we would have a finished master by October 1st, it still wouldn’t be coming out until the February 1st of 2016. Now, we ARE still working towards that deadline, but it will probably be later in February.

It sucks, because we just wanna start touring again.

But on the bright side: the album already sounds like the best we have ever done, and this timeline also gives us the time to work on at least two videos before the album comes out. The first one, for the song “Earth’s Gonna Shake” which some of you have heard us playing live this summer, is just about finished. So that will come out as a single (itunes, spotify e.t.c.) and a video in just a couple of weeks!

So, it looks like our show at Bollnäs Kulturhus on Saturday the 24th of October is going to be the only one this year. New songs will be played! See you there.
