Not only are we no 1 on the official swedish vinyl chart, we are also no 1 on Ginza, Sweden’s biggest online record store! It’s a great day for music!

We had a secret goal (secret because one might jinx it otherwise) of reaching no 1 of the official swedish vinyl chart. We knew it’s nearly impossible for a band like us to reach high on the overall chart, because it counts everything these days: cd, streaming, itunes, vinyl etc. However, we still reached no 35 on it, which I hear is pretty good).
But on the vinyl chart, we thought we might have a chance. Not a big one, bit still, a chance.
And. Thanks to you guys, every single one of you who bought it, it happened. A real record. Our record. On the number one spot. With my daughter on the cover. It’s magic. I don’t know if anyone can grasp how happy it makes us.
So THANK YOU. Thank you so much.
We also would like to thank all the following people whom without, the record wouldn’t have been possible to finish:
Martin Karlegård. Everything is forgotten. You went over the edge, broke on through to the other side (and nearly lost it on your way there) and did a tremendous job on making the album sound so fantastic. We love you.
Magnus och Nicka Fröberg for letting us use your fantastic castle. It gave a certain spirit to these songs.
Villa Sandhem. Nicklas Borgqvist och Anna Björn. There are no words how much we appreciate you guys. Thanks for feeding us and everything else.
Jonathan Johansson. Without your help and support, charm and good looks, it would have been a lot less pleasant experience.
Daniel Granberg. We gave you a shot at mastring this album without any previous vinyl experience, not because you’re my brother, but because you’re the best sound engineer out there. It took some time, and some Karlegård asistance, but the result was awesome.
Tommy Edin – for the fantastic trumpet on “Sail On My Seasick Brethren”.
Linnea Gillstam – for the awesome background vocals on “Earth’s Gonna Shake”. You lifted the whole song.
AND, last but definately not least: Johan Haller, Carl von Schewen & Johan Hargeby at Wild Kingdom/Sound Pollution for believing in us and signing us. Without you, the album wouldn’t even be out. You did a fantastic job!
Now, let’s celebrate!
Charlie & HU
Exactly one year later, after having finished the recordings and moved out of the castle, we are having our official releaseparty at Katalin in Uppsala, on Friday the 13th of May. Album release was on April Fool’s, so we might as well continue on this weird horror movie theme with strange dates and stuff…
Here’s the event with everything you need to know about it!
It will be a great night! See you there!
Have a nice weekend everybody,
HU
